We offer public guided tours of the castle and old town for individuals, families and small groups.

Public castle tours

During a stroll through the six courtyards you will learn the history and stories from a millennium of the world's longest castle - you will get extra insights into the architecture of the Middle Ages compared to today.

    Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. 
    In July/ August/ Middle of September also on Thursday and Friday at 2:00 p.m.

    Tickets are available at the castle entrance in the Haus der Fotografie / Tourist-Info Burg 1

    Maximum number of participants is 25. Prior registration at +49 8677 887-140 is recommended. Tickets must be purchased in advance at the Burg 1 Tourist Information Office. The name, address and telephone number of the participants are stored there.

Public tours of the old town

 

Interesting and amusing things on the tour through the town square, through the knife line to the former craftsmen's mile “In den Grüben”.
