There are lots of parks and green spaces in the town – the perfect places to get away from it all.
The play mountains in the town park can be described as just about unique. The green oasis in the town tempts you to take a walk or rest in one of the cosy and romantic seats. The main attraction, for kids and big kids alike, is the blue and white mountain range, which is up to 5 metres high in places.
Since 2010, the site of a former villa has been home to the botanical gardens, with Burghausen residents having donated numerous plants. A wide variety of trees, shrubs, flowers and seating facilities are lovely places to stroll around in the heart of the town.
Completed in 2012, the "Bräugartl" is an idyllic little park with offbeat seating and relaxation areas, where children love to play.
The natural oasis in the woodland park with a lizard hill, a bee hotel and interesting wildlife information. In particular, the wildflower meadow is a delightful place to stroll around, with its wide variety of species.
